Can you believe it’s been a year since JEREMIAH dropped? Neither can I, and I’ve been wanting to catch up with them and see how they’re doing. They’ve decided they want to work their way through a few Best Self Intimacy cards, and are asking each other the other questions. Let’s eavesdrop, shall we?
Collin: Ooh, I like this one.
Jeremiah: Oh, boy. Do I even want to know?
Collin: *snickers* Yes. Okay, okay. What’s your favorite sexual memory of us?
Jeremiah: *raises brow and licks lip*
Collin: *swats him lightly on knee* Be serious, Jer.
Jeremiah: I am serious. I think we should make our next time my favorite.
Collin: *goes beet red*
Jeremiah: *laughs* But for real, I’d have to say our first time.
Collin: Why?
Jeremiah: Because it was the first time I let myself accept how much I needed you. I’d wanted you there but am so used to handling things myself, and you showed up and were just…there for me.
Baby, why are you crying?
Collin: *sniffles* I’m not.
Jeremiah: Liar. Okay, that’s enough of that. My turn. *Clears throat* What are three places in the world you want us to visit together, and why?
Collin: Gimme a sec. *Ponders* I mean, I just want to go everywhere with you. Jamaica, Turks and Caicos, Punta Cana. Everywhere.
Jeremiah: You’ve been talking to Veronica again, haven’t you?
Collin: *shrugs* She’s my friend.
Jeremiah: Glad she’s someone’s friend. She really likes you.
Collin: *rolls eyes* She likes you, too.
Jeremiah: *raises brow*
Collin: Whatever. She does. My turn. Ha! Another good one. When did you realize you were in love with me?
Jeremiah: Probably somewhere between when I slugged Johnny and when you showed up for the GW meet-and-greet.
Collin: *cringes* Not our finest moments.
Jeremiah: True, but it made me realize I wanted to be with you, and want to do the things necessary to make that happen.
Collin: You didn’t have to do anything. I was already yours.
Jeremiah: You’re getting mushy again. My turn. *Winks and blows kiss* Man, I already know the answer to this.
Collin: Ask anyway, silly.
Jeremiah: Have you ever cried during a movie? What was it and why did it make you cry? *Sets card down* You cry during every movie.
Collin: Do not.
Jeremiah: You cried when the imaginary friend disappeared in Inside Out.
Collin: Who didn’t?! Gimme a card. *Snags one from pile* Ooh, this is a good one. What aspects do you miss about being single?
Jeremiah: None of them.
Collin: Really?
Jeremiah: *shrugs* Really. Having you just adds to my day. It’s not like I went out a lot anyway, and I don’t miss sitting on my ass alone at night. What about you?
Collin: *gnaws lower lip*
Jeremiah: What is it, babe? Because I can tell it’s something.
Collin: I guess I miss the Sundays with Ryan and Lizzie. I mean, Ryan’s in New York now so we wouldn’t be doing it anyway, but still.
Jeremiah: Why don’t you and Lizzie get together?
Collin: Honestly? I think it’s because she doesn’t want to talk to me about Storm. She doesn’t want me to have to keep things from you.
Jeremiah: Do I need to talk to her? Because I don’t care if she talks to you about Storm. And I definitely don’t care if you don’t tell me. Matter of fact, please don’t tell me anything about what my baby sister gets up to in bed. *Shudders* You know what? Give me that last card and let’s finish up. *Looks at card* Can you remember what I was wearing when we first met?
Collin: Oh, umm, yeah. You had on navy blue slacks with dark brown loafers, a light blue button-down, and a belt that matched your pants.
Jeremiah: How in the world do you remember that?
Collin: *snickers* I remember everything about that night.
Jeremiah: Is that so? *Pulls Collin into lap*
Collin: *squeaks* Jeremiah, put me down!
Jeremiah: In a bit. But first, we have some work to do.
Collin: Such as?
Jeremiah: Making my favorite sexual memory of us our next one.
